Christian Huber can call on more than 20 years of sporting experience in the fields of PR, marketing and journalism in his work for uphill sports. From 2004 to 2008 the Austrian was PR and Marketing Manager at Fischer Sports Alpine, responsible for Fischer’s World Cup Team, product endorsement stars and the entire product PR (hardgoods and softgoods) at Fischer Alpine. Before that he worked at the headquarters of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) in Vienna for six years. The main focus of his duties here was on PR activities for ORF SPORT.
In 2008 he changed to journalism as his full-time job, this time heading the editorial department for PR and special publications at OÖ Rundschau where he remained until 2010. The 44-year-old has worked as a freelance sports journalist since 1995. Christian Huber remains a lecturer in sports PR and journalistic quality at the University of Salzburg.
In his professional career, PR and marketing for eTechnologies and smart internet solutions have also featured in his fields of competence. Christian Huber has been a member of the Austrian Public Relations Association since 2005.
